Bob moves from Ohio to Knoxville
Bob writes to Pete, 'Thank you! Thank you for your thoroughness, professionalism, knowledge, experience and enthusiasm in finding me the "right" home here in Knoxville. With 33 moves under my belt, I've worked with a lot of Realtors in my life and, without a doubt, you are one of the best! You're truly a credit to the profession. I appreciate the extensive research you did on each of the properties we saw and the amount of time you took in explaining both positives and negatives of each. You made my search so much easier.' Thank you, Bob. You were great to work with because you knew exactly what you wanted, and you took the time to learn all about the various areas of the market, a totally new city to you.
The Prindles relocate to Lake Norris from Ohio
We were referred to our Remax agent, Pete Peter, by our local Remax realtor last summer shortly after we listed our home in Dayton, Ohio. We had been frequent visitors to the Norris Lake area with our summer lakehouse boat trips over the last ten or so years, but did not know Knoxville itself. Pete met us near Norris Lake, and drove us around to several homes he had located for us in the areas surrounding the lake, and later throughout all of the area lakes surrounding Knoxville. He was very knowledgable about the Knoxville area, and very enthusiastic about taking us wherever we wanted to go. If he didn't have the answer to a question, he always checked back quickly with the requested information. We eventually chose a beautiful home in the Norris Lake community with Pete's tireless help, and we are excited to be Tennessee Volunteers! We could not have had better help in locating our perfect lakefront home had it not been for Pete, and we are sincerely grateful for all he did for us! We would wholeheartedly recommend Pete to anyone who wants to find the perfect home, here in the Knoxville area. Kim and Eric Prindle Caryville, TN
Ohio is moving to Tennessee
Another great week. My clients from the north have packed up their cars&trucks and headed to the beautiful Knoxville area. And of course they brought some cold weather with them. But we'll survive! We've had a truly temperate winter so far. Kim & Eric have taken up residence in a fantastic 2 year old home on Norris Lake near the little town of Caryville. They're located close to I75 so they can get to future work places easily in Knoxville. The Point is a great little subdivision of permanent and vacation homes, with every lot having lake frontage. The seller of this home also owns the home next door, so Kim & Eric already have made good friends with the neighbors. They were assisted in the move by their son & his 3 friends, all recently employed by BMW in South Carolina. Something tells me these guys are looking for some skiing & fishing action this coming summer. None of them have seen this place in the summer, and I'm sure they won't believe the beauty of the lake and their surroundings. Bob bought a great condo that fits his every need. He's coming from Findlay, OH, without knowing a soul in volunteer country. He likes the feel of East Tennessee & the easy way we live our lives in a pleasant climate. I met one of the directors of the condo association on one of my visits to the home prior to Bob arriving. By passing his name on, Bob already knows 7 of the residents who've made him feel extremely welcome to his new home. And he's not wasting any time. We closed on his home at 8:00 AM, & by 9:00 he had painters, flooring suppliers, a cleaning lady, and kitchen counter suppliers hard at work updating & refreshing the place. No grass growing under his feet! Welcome to East Tennessee, Kim, Eric, & Bob!
Pete Opens Doors to Beautiful Knoxville Preferred Properties
I've had a great week! I'm originally from Lakewood, Ohio, suburban Cleveland,&have lived in Columbus, Ohio, Ames, Iowa, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Big Bay, Michigan, Richmond, Virginia, New York City, & Mexico City. I've traveled to every U.S. state except Alaska, & extensively to Europe, Asia & Australia. But, I'm most happy to be living in Knoxville, for most of the past 20 years. Our climate is moderate and entices us to be outside. Mother Nature provides us with all these wonderful plants, trees, animals & birds to enjoy viewing. Our friends, neighbors, & even strangers care about us in the Volunteer spirit. We've got it all! I became a Realtor 10 years ago, as a second career to keep me engaged in the community. My client, Bob, in his upper 60's, contacted me several months ago. He lives in Ohio now, but has lived all over the country, including in Nashville. He's decided to pack up, sell his house, & move to Knoxville. He knows no-one here; he just believes that this is the place for him. Wow! I think that takes a lot of guts. So we spent 2 days visiting all the condominiums in west Knoxville that met his requirements, & he quickly found the perfect one. It was a tough choice; there were several others that would have been great too. After a casual & enjoyable dinner at Lakeside Tavern in front of the fire, he was off to Ohio to pack up. This week too, a couple from the Dayton, Ohio area came for 2 days to find their perfect permanent lakefront home. They've spent their last 8 vacations on Norris Lake & decided they needed to live here full time. He's a police chief, & she a surgical nurse, & they're giving up these great jobs to come be neighbors of ours on the lake. And they found the perfect place too! All 3 are great personalities that will love living here & will make great neighbors. And all of this bodes well for the health of Knoxville society, & the growth of the community. We're all so lucky to be living here. Make the most of it!
